I'm very cautious with commenting, it's almost like intruding in peoples space. Their virtual space...I'm afraid of insulting them by telling what I like in their pictures
...
Yeah I'll go and comment on some stuff now.
i try ._. somehow the comments thing doesn't want to work and other times it does. But yes you are right comments are important because people would or want to see what the person liked about their artwork/piece
I try to comment, but I usually do it for my friends who don't get a lot of comments. I tend to shy away from giving critiques to artists that I don't know or haven't specified that they want critiques. I'd LOVE to give budding artists some tips, but I don't want to hurt their feelings. I guess that's because I'm one of those sensitive people who doesn't want scathing criticism. And you know how some people take a little critique the wrong way.
Usually, it seems like a select few popular artists get all the comments while everyone else is forgotten. Personally, I don't mind if I don't get comments, but I'm sure that others would.
I also think one of the reasons theO has been so quiet is because the mods and admins have been so secretive. They used to be a lot more open about what was going on. Heck, I don't know how to suggest a category or report a bug anymore. I don't even know if Adam has selected the new mods or who those new mods are. I don't even know who the "old" mods are! I really don't mean to be critical of theO because it's one of my favorite hangouts. I just wish the staff would be more open. (It would also be nice if I didn't have to wait for months for stolen art to be removed, and then emailing one of the staff people if no action was taken.)
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
