Basically, you have to be really active. Comment, post stuff, you know the deal. Then the admins give promotions to active members. They make a big old announcement about it. The problem is that they haven't done it in quite some time. It used to be monthly, back in the day. It's either because there aren't enough people worth promoting or the admins are worrying about other things. SunfallE is usually in charge of promotions, so you might want to PM her. Adam sometimes does promotions, too, so add him in your PM just in case.
Edit: It seems as though there was a promotion announcement just now, and you were on the list. Congrats on that!
What are some of your Challenge ideas? Or are they a secret?

Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
I really love TheO... I'm on here very day and I always try to post something, or at least comment. Im still pretty new here but I absolutely love it.about what u said on challenges... How to you get to otakuite++? I have some awesome ideas for challenges :D
As an old member (but not THAT old), I admit that the activity isn't what it used to be. There were a lot more people posting art and wallpapers, a lot more Challenges, and it was a lot easier to navigate Worlds. And let's not forget the weekly caption battles.
The admins and mods also seemed more active, too. Then most of them left. I have no clue who Adam's new mod team are. No one's officially gone out and said it. I'd really like to know who to suggest new categories to and who to complain to about that one spammer who keeps making new accounts after getting banned. Don't get me started on quality control and art theft. I guess the staff is too busy to read reports.
It's all relative, though. If new people are having a good time, that's great.
Despite the first two paragraphs, I really enjoy theO. It's a lot smaller that DeviantART, so it's easier to make a name for yourself. And the community is a lot friendlier, too. I guess it's because we all have a common interest.

i totally agree with this. I know i'm still new but i'm getting the hang of everything... but i already see people saying TheO is boring, and i'm like, "NO EFFING WAY."
