I don't think I've ever posted acrylics work. I only used acrylics in high school and I OH wait, I did a phoenix with colored pencils and acrylics one time.. but that's it. I can't wait to finish the gryphon <3

Thankyou! I'm glad the digital and traditional blend in. I might be able to upload the only-pencil version somewhere... It actually is a bit boring since the shading isn't much.

Woah I'm totally loving the atmosphere and landscape in this piece. The griffon looks so peaceful and like a king lying in his cave, viewing his kingdom. With loving subordinates soaring the sky. *you turned me to being poetic with this art haha*
I love the shading, it's crazy and I wonder how it looks in the original sketch --> it's difficult to see what you edited in SAI -- very well blended.

I'm also currently working on a gryphon! Traditionally as well haha but then with acrylics :P

I like the fact it has the pencilish-sketchy image on this one and I think it was a good choice leaving colour aside (well, it was only for now, but it does the pic justice, you know?) And very well done with the proportions. Love it. Rea~lly love it!
