Time and time again.
But that´s true. The beginning is always the most crucial part, but sometimes the best is just scribbling around.
Yippieh! I´ll look forward to it!
Thanks, and happy new year, too!
asfhdjkaldv >///< Thankyou for your encouragement! I'll definitely upload the manga here when I finish it, but I'm just having trouble starting. I always have trouble drawing the first panels, until I get into the groove. But I shall do my best!!
Happy New year!
True, so true. But you know getting discouraged here and there is normal, too. The thing is that you push forward nontheless. Glad to hear you´ll try again. :)
Maybe I´ll be able to see something really soon? (Still don´t want to push you anywhere.)
That is so true, and very good advice for me!! For sure, like making it original right? I think I got discouraged from other awesome comics, which I'm sorry to admit. But next time, I'll be more focused and follow your advice!
Hahahaha I know what you mean, but I'm glad you told me!
Ah good ideas!!! I definitely would like to finish one of my manga stories someday. And reusing old ideas or drafts is a good way!
Thanks AnBu!
Well inspiration is one thing but you should not think you have to overcome someone-else, you know? If you see something you see fit for your own within someone-elses work, take it and make it into something of your own. The most important thing is that it fits your story in your way.
Though I say this, it´s normally quite hard to achieve...
Maybe you could start anew? For all my other ideas I have some kind of a storyboard which makes it easier. The second manga I started is actually ready just needs to be inked. Maybe that would fit you more? Not that I want to push you in any direction or so...
Oh man, I did a comic once where I just made up things as I went and it ended up being really long, but I never finished it because it got tangled up in the storyline. That being said, I don't mean to discourage you!! What I mean to say is that you'll do awesome with your manga and the storyline will keep flowing if you just take a break, then come back with all your creativeness or take inspiration from life experiences! :D I ended up getting off-track because I envied so many ideas from my favourite books and such... I felt like I couldn't come up with anything better then them.. yes pathetic.
Haha, no worries you didn´t know. Yeah, it´s the storyline because, you know, I just always kinda add up what´s coming to my mind spontaneously. I tdoesn´t have a plot and I just don´t know where I want it to lead to. Well, let´s see what will happen. I swore I´ll end it properly...
Thank you very much for your kind encouragement! XD
See you around, AnBu^v^
You're so sweet!

Hey, it´s your skills that make me addicted.
I guess this was qite hard to get right. I mean I suck at bg´s pretty much and I can at least comprehend the challenge behind those you seem so easily capable of.
Haha yay GO DRAW MOREEEE. I have a HUGE to do list! And guess what?! I randomly got a pm 'thank you for joining e-card SS event, your secret santa is ..." and I didn't sign up xDD BUT I actually LOVE to join it :P rofl.

Thanks Aryia!!
I can sometimes be wary of using vivid colours, but I experimented here again...
Yes you got it!! If I had enough time, I would have made it look more statue-esque. I had some flitting thoughts about those gargoyles on top of buildings :P
Thankyou for ALL your lovely comments, AnBu!!! I enjoyed drawing for your challenge and I'm not going to stop drawing griffons now, they are so much fun!
I'm so glad you liked all my entries ^U^ Glad you like this background too, I was working on doing a limited-detail background without being too sloppy either >U<

WAH you're so sweet!!! Thankyou! I did win the challenge with my little Birdie griffon! <3
Woah the colors are intense! Such deep red/purple/pink colors. Completely different color scheme than your last griffon arts. I really love it, especially because it really symbolizes 'silent watcher' and 'guardian'. He could be mistaken for a statue from the city below.
I'm amazed at the city colors! It looks fantastic and I just love how you keep on broadening your 'limits'/horizon. Oh and very well done on the detailed fluffy feathers near the head.
You sure give me a hard tim echosing but I LOVE all those pics you drew and I´m hella sure keep watching out for your upcoming pieces, too.
Haha, yes, this is pretty much like Batman or any other hero of Justice. Very well done and the bg, too. Detailed with not going too much into details.

Thankyou!! I can try to explain it, but I was also thinking of doing a video recording of another digital work... somehow! (gah now I wish I could have had a recording of this work >U<)
Usually I start with a basic layer of colour (in this case it was a dark purple-blue). With that colour, I coloured in my gryphon sketch shape. Then I add some lights and darks in the right places to give more depth and shape. It looks really fuzzy at this point and sometimes it gets discouraging since it looks messy xD
After I keep building the depth with different colours of dark and light, I start adding details with layers of Luminosity, Overlay, and Multiply! Luminosity is really good for the highlighted hair (its easy to just use a white brush on a normal layer too, but luminosity and overlay give some different colour effects no matter what colour your brush is!) Sometimes I smear the new details down slightly too and start more over top of them to give the illusion of more depth^^ Next time, I'll definitely look into some way to recording a speed paint so I don't spam you with a long comment xD
Thanks a million, Ellenor!!! :D
