Ah thats ok, it'll get better! I like to focus more on drawing personality then actual faces sometimes, it turns out differently! I can't explain it though, but you'll find out how to do it with your positive attitude :) Its great that you're having fun no matter if you fail... To me, there isn't such thing as fail for someone if you have fun and try your hardest <3

Yeah the only sad thing about it is that even though (in my opinion) it looks a little like me me nor my mother can recognize the "me" in it. Yeah I actually tried drawing Bard after I got bored and I ended up drawing him anime style. XD Honestly it is fun to try and end up failing.

AH good for you!! But don't be discouraged, practice makes perfect! And also, drawing self-portraits is the hardest thing in the world O_O at least for me. Its easier to see all the mistakes and also tempting to want to tweak features XD But maybe you'll be surprised if you get inspired and draw some of your favourite characters? Even in a different style!

Heheh... so after I commented I went and attempted to draw me from my childhood but it pretty much sucks. I fixed a few things but it is hard to tell were i went wrong. Eh practicing will really help alot

But gosh! These are all amazing. So many sketches, or rather full drawings! I really like the character Kili so I guess I love those drawings as well. And I think you did the elf in the top left corner (geez why do I don't remember the names? pff :P). Love how you sometimes use a very strong outline of the face to emphasize it. Gorgeous works <3 and thanks so much for dedicating this to us!!

Good attitude :D You can do it if you have the will! Tracing is a good start, to get the feel of style! But don't be afraid to take the leap and do things your own way after a while... I'm sure that your art is amazing and you'll be able to post all your brilliant work here someday :D

Ooh, these are all awesome!! I remember doing a bunch of LOTR pencil portraits when those movies were coming out...these makes me want to try some more X) It’s really easy to tell who you were drawing on each of these – you really captured them well! Love how you shaded them too

Glad you enjoyed the second movie! I did too – it was awesome to see the elves of Mirkwood, and Smaug was amazing :D
