Aw, thanks! I have no idea why, but whenever I'm doing realism sketches from a reference like these, I've found they turn out much better when I draw fast. If I slow down I think too much, I guess, haha XD

And Legolas *U* Lol yeah it looks like we did use the same ref picture, thats so awesome! And thats really neat about it being Tolkien's birthday, I didn't know >U< I'll definitely have to read the books sometime, I'm currently just the movie fan xD
