well you see she was actually like brutal and killed alot (like super strong) so when she joined the soul reapers she didn't want to do that anymore. It was pretty much a fight to the death between them and zaraki really had a hard time winning like she put up an epic fight! and yachiru is pretty bad herself she even uses her sword! (shi-kai)
