I use watercolor for this kind of drawing! The only time I regularly use markers is - when I'm sketching musicians in person. Markers are very immediate - watercolors, you can kind of use a bit of water to erase / dilute. Although I don't consider myself a painter at all... I'm really just... applying color, haha.
Snow, do you use paints or markers for your work? I always love your color pieces. If this is watercolor, I'm seriously jealous of your skill. It's an adorable piece.
