I see it now! I think it's because of how her eyelashes are. I put them just at the peak of the eye socket, and angled them too steep. I think therein lie the problem XD Thanks for the input and making me realize this lol
I think she does look surprised, but her eyes seem somewhat angry to me. Like her eyes are frowning but her eyebrows are surprised. Definitely startled anyway :)
Does she look like she's giving off the "get-outta-my-face" vibe? I was kinda going for surprise, but maybe subconsciously that's where the squeezing of the arms came from lol.
She looks like she wants to be left alone, good work with her expression ^^ her arms do look a little squeezed, but that adds to the 'get out of my face' vibe.
