I started with a new pen so the ink was having a hard time coming out. To start off with having next to no pressure on the pen then when I get the sketch done then I'll apply more pressure on the pen and start to darken and shade.
I see you used hatching for the skin and cross-hatching for the hair (really cool) but I can see anywhere that there could be a mess up, how did you do that?
