    HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Your drawings are so energetic!!! I feel life in me again!! HA HA!! Paint you say? have you tried Adobe Photoshop? It provides more basic features for shading, like blunting, burning, and dodging. using those tools can give you a pic just like mine, entitled "innocent". if you were to use Photoshop, your pics would stand like a professional's. take awhile to get used to, but it is worth it. :)
