I haven't seen this anime, but I have heard a lot about it. I should probably put it on my list.
I also agree about having a girl main character that's not conventionally attractive. If you have ideas for a story, go for it (and make sure to tell me if you post it)!

Oh I was reading the manga to this!I haven't watched the anime yet though. and I agree this one is very refreshing and different then the regular shoujo manga, it's also very neat that it's a male p.o.v.
I also agree with you on the 2nd part you talked about. It would be nice to see a female lead that is not what you expect and meets someone nice, but doesn't go through a big transformation.
Have you read Pochamani? That one is a nice read, I like it so far but haven't finished yet. :D
