eheh you're right, but if I have to put a layer of paint for every mistake a make, then at the end the painting would be too heavy to hang on the wall XD
all those projects of yours sounds amazing, especially that oil slick stuff! seems fun to do! I really look forward to see more paintings from you in the future! :D
Yeah, it can get nerve-wracking with worrying about mistakes, but at the same time, paint layers fairly well, so covering mistakes is more a matter of do I still have the color I need on the pallet or do I need to squirt another dollop? XD
I think it's better to start with a smaller canvas, though, because bigger ones are intimidating. I started an oil painting on 16 x 20 in canvas two years ago and all I did was put on two colors, sketched on top of that and didn't get back to it until 2 weeks ago XD;
I'm going to be doing some more paintings, soon. Got an oil painting I'll try finishing this weekend, then I'm going to try out spray painting and my friends and I are having a paint party doing this "oil slick" type thing where you just squeeze the paint directly onto the canvas and tilt it so the paint blends together X3
I don't always finish my paintings in one sitting, sometimes I wait and come back to them. Thank you for the nice words, though =3

Oh no thanks for the long maybe you're right I could actually be able to paint if I try (I actually painted a paint with acrylics on a big canvas once actually but it's been many years ago) but it seems harder than drawing, I think it's the fact that it's more difficult to cover mistakes when you just have to erase them while doing the sketch. also painting looks like a longer process and I don't love staying too much on a piece since I would get bored at one point unless it's something I'm really loving doing..
so yes I could even paint myself but for laziness/ fear to fail It doesn't appeal too much the idea, that's why I think it's pretty awesome all the paints you have the patience to do, seen how good/detailed they looks!
Thank you for the compliment. Although I'm sure you could paint something. All you gotta do is put paint on a canvas XD As to whether or not it looks like something is another matter X3;
But yeah, one of my friends who's not as skilled in drawing is actually pretty good at abstract painting, which is something I feel I have trouble with because I think too hard about it. Sometimes you can work with a medium you don't think you can if you just make a stroke and go from there. Most of the time I'm intimidated by a blank page/canvas, but the first step is the hardest. Tbh, until I get towards the end, I'm skeptical whether or not it'll turn out well, but I keep going. =3

Thank you~!
It actually helped me to do a digital sketch of the pose I needed first so I had something to reference. If I'd done it on the canvas from the beginning, it would have been full of pencil marks =o_o;=
I feel like color mixing with acrylic paint is much easier than oils because it's similar to how I work digitally. But yeah, experimentation does lead to some wasted paint XD;
It's been fun and a little frustrating to paint, but I rather like it. =3

@Groovy Boar:
Lol, I did wonder to myself how many layers of paint it would take before the paint sticks out away from the canvas XD
Aw, well thanks =3
