Ah yes that's exactly what I mean! Thing is, we're so slow because we don't practice that sketching part enough. We'll get faster at it if we do ;) It's kinda a vicious cycle :)
I just love how the shark turned out, it's super cocky looking! it's a bully shark! the shark in the photo I used as reference was just so beautiful!
It's not weird you thought it was a man, I drew an almost in existing breast, and as always quite strong and hard looking woman, so yeah... this could definitely work too, in fact now I kind of wish I drew a triton instead
I understand your pain! I can't pull myself in sketching and anatomy studying because i'm so slooow and everything I draw I just wanted to make it a final completed piece *sigh* Ahah I'm glad you like my name XD something different than usual for sure
I´m loving it! : ) Gotta love the smile on the awesome shark. Gotta admit I thought she was a man in the beginning, though, so shame on me. Love how she has a shark half to fit with her Partner and all those little lovely details.
Hmm so true! But I'm dying to get better at anatomy... I should sketch more and spend less time on coloring :) Anyways fun talking to you! Enjoy your day - btw I love your username :P
same. my art without references sucks, that's why half of the time I spend on a draw it's for finding the best references for anatomy, details, etc. It's an annoying and boring process actually, but it pays off. Thank you again anyway!
Yes! References are the best. I almost always draw with references. If I draw without I usually don't like the outcome.
Seems like you definitely know what you're doing! Thanks for the explanation - I've never worked with water colored pencils so I wouldn't know how to deal with that. Again, great work! Love that you have such a full background <3
Thank you for your kind comment! I used a nice photo of a grey shark as reference to draw it, using a reference really makes the difference, and this are watercolor pencils, i'm not that good with watercolors unfortunately.
I tried to edit it in many different ways, but the colors were always off, no matter how I changed the contrast, especially the reef, so this was the best option in the end.

this came out really nice. I like the idea too, and I think it's nice to see a warrior type of mermaid then the typical one. XD also LOVE the shark! it looks so cute!
Super cool design, I am totally loving the original shark tail. Also the shark is drawn really really well. You have tons of details! I would suggest maybe a bit more contrast? Make the blue darker? Did you use watercolors? :D

Gotta watch out then. Well, tbh though, anything you draw is a blessing to see.
