eh I know the pain, sometimes in my promarkes the ink it's a pain too, especially if they're new. I'm sorry it didn't worked out, the pencil wasnt showing too much maybe? it happens to me that when i scan my drawings the pencils shading just disapear, especially in vibrant colors like red and magenta, traditional art and the scanner together are my nightmare.
spanish and italian are very similar on the vocabulary but quite different on the grammar rules, I know cause I had to study spanish for three years at school, yuck.

Thanks for the advice, but I got her down. Rai already has a facial structure unique to him, and wouldn't really be applied to her, and she's already distinctive enough from him. I just meant like her fashion and color scheme. I don't want Rai's fashion sense to influence her because they are both raichu and I've drawn him longer. The wardrobe is what makes it feel like I'm drawing a gender-bend of Rai.

Oh yes, I used a white gel pen to add the highlights, I used a white sakura jellyroll gel pen. It's the only one with good quality ink that shows up! ^^

I wanted to try the color pencil/marker technique you use in your art, but it didn't come out the way I wanted, so I ended doodling flowers in the background instead.

That's funny in Sol means sun in Spanish too, I didn't know that in Italian is would sound similar. XD
I'm heavily leaning to that name, so it might end up happening!

if you don't like that outfit could I use that shirt for one of my characters? I really like that shirt, haha.
To really avoid her looking like Rai inadvertently, you could make sure she has a different face shape and nose shape than Rai does! And maybe smaller details like dimples, gap tooth, freckles, moles, laugh lines at the corners of her eyes, and a different lip shape could help too!

Aahh looks at this child! I absolutely love this! what a cheerful expression!
I think her eye looks so pretty! even if the marker bleeded the yellow it's still visible and gives a nice green anyway so it's not that bad! and I love that background. also I think that's a pretty name, it's appropriate for the character (sole means sun in italian and she looks quite a sunny person)

I like her color scheme. I'm glad you gave her darker skin than Raimundo. It makes her look more unique.

Since you don't especially like what Miss Raichu is wearing now, and Alolan Raichu looks like it's surfing, you could try drawing her in a surfer suit. Maybe? Just a thought.
