I was going to pick Eevee evolutions for both of them. Chibiusa would get Sylveon and Hotaru would get Umbreon. I think your ideas for Pokemon to add to the picture are better than mine.

As for the English dub names of the characters, Hotaru was lucky in that she never got one. All the others did. Sometimes I wonder what the characters in the final season would have been called if they had localized it.

so cool to see your art Keba! :D out of curiosity, what pokemon you had in mind for these two? I would have picked jigglypuff for chibiusa (both pink and a little annoying) and absol for Hotaru (ya know disaster pokemon)

also, what's hotaru name in the english traslation? in italian she was Ottavia, a terrible choice in my opinion ahah, all the sailor scouts names sucked in italian.

Oh my gosh, that is so clever! I knew they were a reference to at least Pokemon Red and Blue (and by extension Pokemon Yellow as well). But now that you say that about Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, I can see it now. It all comes together. That's really clever!

You were onto something with the flowers. The little secret is that I literally used the colors scarlet and violet to make them. I thought about the themes of past and future in those Pokemon games, and I found it kind of fitting for characters who are reincarnated from the past and travel from the future to come together in the present.

Thank you so much for dedicating such a lovely drawing to me. It means a lOT. I adore ChibiuSA and HOtaru's friednship so much. I see the little flowers on the sides of the road, kind of like the flowers in the older Pokemon games that used to move. Thank you again, this means a lot to me.
