Well, the overall picture is good, but remember, Anime is based on real people. so you shouldn't make his shoulders so pointed and the arm shouldn't stick out that way unless he sprained it, so I personally think that it'd look neater if it were a bit smoother and that, remember that bodies aren't as square, so you should try making it a little rounder and that the hands shouldn't be so round and chubby, try to give them a little more of a point to it and that the belt should stick out more, sine it's not directly attached to the body. And also keep in mind that the dictionary, or any book, has a bigger spine than the edge, so it should look squarer and the eyes should resemble an ovalish round shaoe instead of humps that remind you of Diglett, but you DID say that it was your first time and nothing is perfect...
