Title: Cover Girl
The Story:
After the Cell Games ended, and the World Martial Arts Tournament returned, it turned from an event for fans and spectators, into a whole big media circus. It happened to remind me of a number of these sporting events that go on today.
My Take:
Recently I've seen lots of magazine parodies, and I decided that I was going to do one myself. As you may (or may not know), I am a sports fan, so it wasn't too hard to come up with a magazine to make a parody of. The winner was "ESBN" an obvious parody of ESPN the Magazine.
What I Like Most:
I used another pose from Aaliyah's calendar, which came out ok. There wasn't too much time spent sketching this one, and I am satisfied the end product. She ended up coming out a little differently here...her hips ended up tad smaller than usual, didn't look too bad, and I managed to hide her hands this time around.
What I Dislike Most:
She looks like she's afraid to be on the cover, which I didn't really intend to happen, but I'll live with it. I took longer coloring this one than I wanted to, it was supposed to be done over the weekend, but it ended up lasting through the week. I didn't think coming with some random crap to write on the cover would take as long as it did.
Final Thoughts:
For those of you that are new to my drawings, I use a different style than you are used to. This style is most noticeable when I do DragonBall characters. I have nothing against the original style, but I'm not going to try to be someone that I'm not. I want to have a style of my own.
I'm not going to have to run down the whole "this is a parody" speech am I? If it's too much for you to understand, then there really isn't much hope is there?
