My poor Seizure was delcined by the Otaku TT>TT So I thought I could try somthing else and also make a statement. There were elements and principles of art in my little buddy. A color Scheme even. He was well balanced and had a cute little curl for hair! Just because somthing is simplistic, does not mean that it is not a work of art. If Seizure had been an pre-existing anime character, and that was just a fanart, my picture would not have been denied. I'm not bashing the otaku staff, I'm just saying what I think: that it was morally wrong to judge what is good enough to call art (even if this is mainly an anime-styled art website) Seizure had anime qualities (such as his big head and doe-like eyes XD)Its not fair that a person cannot express themselves just becuase their drawing skills are not up to your par. If they want to draw and submit work, they should be able to. Unless it is somthing completely offensive, there is no reason why a submition should be denied. It should not be up to theOtaku staff to judge that a peice of work is not good enough to be on the site. There is a comment box for critiqueing. Let the art be evaluated. That way the artist will get the chance to improve becuase other artists have pointed out the works flaws. By simply denying the work of art straight out, you are crippling the aspiring artist. They will never be able to grow, if they cannot get feedback.
