Pontianak/Kuntilanak is a Malay and Indonesian version of western vampire that died during childbirth and became a vengeful spirit. Pontianak appears as a beautiful woman with a scent of frangipani, luring men and then transform into an ugly being to kill them. She also eat babies and harm pregnant woman. Legend has it that hammering a nail behind her neck will turn her into a beautiful woman until someone takes it off. Pontianak will obey the person who takes off the nail behind her neck.
