Well, this is my first attempt at using GIMP to edit something I have drawn by hand. I'm not sure I like how it turned out... Perhaps i'll try to find the plain hand-drawn version sometime and compare it with that.

I had coloured the girls hair with pens, but I decided to GIMP-colour the background, skin tone, and part of her clothes, along with the cushion.

Hmmm...

Over all I am pleased with the pose of the picture, and I managed to draw a half decent hand XD I think this is the best thing I have drawn in a while. The pose and clothes are something I drew myself -- although I did get inspiration from a picture on Deviantart I did not copy it.

I'm rather happy with this - but I think i'll practice with GIMP some more before I use it to colour anything else. Yup yup.
