this is the map for Lyria. The country in which my original story 'Arsenaway' takes place.

Lyria no longer has a king in the present era in which Sena lives. Instead, The country is divided into 5 provinces. Each province has a govener. Each province is also divided into at least 3 county's, towns whatever. they each have a mayor.

It's kinda like the tetrarchy system. Which is greek: Rule by four. It was a type of roman goverment established in the late third century. in attempt to foster order by sharing power with pottential rivals.
but in this case they're not rivals and ther're 5 main idols instead of 4... and they all work together because of an absence of a higher leader. A.K.A a king or queen.

And as for the names of the provinces and county's I used a lot of names from greek mytholigy and a few other places. mesopatamian and Indian as well...

SO like, Asklepios where Sena and takeru come from is the name of the greek god of healing. which I thought was perfect cause Sena is a sheperdess that herds a rare type of sheep called Unihorn's. Who's wool is used as a healing aid.

Parsos where reese is from... I made up

Latona is a daughter of a Titan.

Yakshi (Yakshi swamp): Personification of fertility and vegitation (India)

Ceres: goddes of grain and agriculture

Dione: mother of aphrodite (was a nymph)

Gaia: where Pandora is translates as Earth. which I thought was a fitting place for her cause she is the scorceress of the earth temple.

THERA: A greek island

Rhea: Posiden,Zues's ect... Mother

Aphros: means of the sea. where Ayara is located on the island of.

Ouranos: Heaven

Hephaistos: (mt.hephaistos) where Amara is located is the name of the greek god of fire and metel. also made weapons and was the surgeon for the gods. son of zues.

Eros: is the greek name for cupid. son of Aphrodite and Ares...Incest gross XD

Nike`: Symbol of victory (small verson of athena)

Helios: where Apollo is located mean the sun. which is perfect because Apollo in greek mytholigy is the god of light and music. identified with the sun (helios) Apollo's main power comes from his ability to control the weak minded or the dead with his music.

ENLIL: Mesopatamian lord of the winds and earth.

Kronos: Titan, father of zues, ect... (where Anatnas and Artreaties are located)

Ningirsu: Mesopatmian god.

Iliad : was located in Troy or something... I forgot.

so yeah... that's pretty much the background on the names....
