An old drawing that I did a few months ago while in school. I swear, I had way too much free time after I finished my work...

This is Cassius (the human) and Nicodemus (the dragon). They are both characters in my novel Valdevirtus: Duskfall. Cassius is the Emperor's eldest son and is also the commander of the Imperial Patrol (basically, the Empire's police force). Cassius's favorite things are hunting down criminals and letting the wind rush through his hair. Although his advisor constantly badgers Cassius to wear a helmet, Cassius always disobeys. He is very loyal to the Empire and does everything possible to execute his laws. When he became commander, though, Cassius's job became extremely boring, as he spends most of his time reading through reports and other documents. He sets out to capture Alan and Violet when he hears about all of the interesting crime happening in their district, hoping to put some fun into his boring job.
