Personality
Best way to describe Byron is if a comic fanboy and an obsessive computer geek had a love child. He has nerdgasms over anything mechanical and has to take it apart/examine it/worship it. You get the picture. Throw in a huge helping of ego and you got Byron in a nutshell. He views himself as a protege and often brags about it. He'll also go into long rants involving technical terms and get pissy if you didn't follow what he said to a T. Well, pretty much it's easy to get him pissy. But he adores machines and gears and worships anyone who invents or works in the field.

HISTORY

Byron was born in Diacoalis and is a single child. His mother stayed at home while his father was a miner. His parents were very simple and expected that Byron would merely follow his father's footsteps, however that quickly changed. Right off the bat Bryon showed an interest in mechanics, often getting into trouble by stealing his father's watches, equipment, and other things and taking them apart to look at.

To correct this, they bought a few watches and things for Byron to have, hoping he'd play with those instead of damaging anything else. Much to both his parents surprise while he tore the watch apart like they expected it was good as new within the week. Their son had a natural talent for building. Who knew?

Letting him have a variety of gears and things they also agreed to let him be an apprentice to another mechanic.

At the age of 15 Byron had the knowledge to build machines geared towards mining all on his own. But of course, his young age worked against him as he couldn't very well have a job or start up a business of his own. Plus by this point the ego bug had bit him and he was sure he was the greatest mechanic in all of Diacoalis. Why should he limit himself to BORING mining machines when he could build something greater?! That is when he turned his sights on flying machines. There weren't very many in Diacoalis, but Illonnia was full of them! He'd look for the greatest mechanic there and get an apprenticeship with them! Brilliant, he thought and off he went without so much as a word to his parents. Because at 15 he was, of course, an adult who could handle being on his own.

In short...he's a bratty kid who thought he was bigger than his true abilities and ran away from home because he thinks he knows best when in reality he doesn't.

-The thing on his tail is completely useless besides telling the time. He found it and honestly just thought it looked cool

-Is a know it all when it comes to inventors and mechanics
-He does know a good portion about it, but he's not as perfect as he claims. Regardless, he does have the potential to be one of the greatest if he could get rid of his ego.
-He's still a kid deep down no matter how much he denies it. Just takes some work to get it to show.
