I use lang-8 often to correct people's English as well as to get my own entries corrected. One day, I came across a guy named Seil from Korea and corrected a few of his entries. We added each other as friends, and eventually started talking on Skype. He's a really nice guy and always has something interesting to say ^^ Since we talk fairly often now, I decided to send him a Christmas card. I've never sent a card overseas before, so it was pretty fun. :D

I was stressing about finding a good card (not too fobby since he's from Asia anyway, not too wordy and confusing, not too fancy, not too childish, etc.) but seeing as we only have Fed Ex, Albertsons, and the post office within walking distance from my school, I decided it would probably just be easier to make one myself. So then I wasn't sure what to draw. Something fancy? Generic? Cute? In the end, I decided on Doraemon because he's probably seen it, and even if he hasn't he can enjoy a cute robotic cat in a santa hat right? 8D;;
