Ok... I know that there are those of you who simply hate reading sloppy handwritting..... And I admit, my handwriting isn't the best, especially when I'm just jotting down design notes. But I still thought it would be fun to show you all a few of the character quirks I've been working on. As well, because of my handwritting. I will type out the information written on the paper so you don't have to strain those eyes.
Tessa Breed~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Top Speed: 65mph
Average Weight: 500-570 lbs
Average Height: 5ft at shoulder
Strength on a scale of 1 - 10: is 6 through 10.
Scaled as a: Heavy Weight Fighter.
Deffinition: The Tessa breed, also reffered to as the "Great Tiger" breed, is most known for its sheer strength and defining, tiger like markings. Ironically, Tessas are in no relation to the big cat family, but are actually closer related to the Dire Wolf.
Coloration: Usually ranges from a dark mahogany to a near salmon color. Lighter colors are usually seen more on females. Eye color varies between gold, orange, red, and occasionally violet.
Marikings: The classic tiger stripes line most of the body. Especially the back and front of the legs. Occasionally certain bloodlines carry traits of white paws, underbellies, and markings below the eyes.
Temperment: The Tessa is a strong and stubborn breed. They are known for being hot tempered and brash. But they can stand their ground as long as it takes to get their point across. They also have a strong sense of bonded loyalty to their kin.
Courting: It is the female whome gets the say in her choice for a mate and will stake out her claim of territory with the pounding of her paws upon stone or wood to echo out like a drum beat. The female is also far mroe agressive overall in comparison to her male counterpart. Yet the male does play his role in being the primary caretaker and guarder over the pups. Pairs are lifelong.
Territory: Though the tessa may be exceptionally strong, they are not as flexible or limber as their Magi cousins. Thus, they so not travel or accomidate well in the thinck jungles, but preffer to live in the apls just above the jungles thickest foliage.
Fur: The Tessa generally has a mixed length coat. It isn't terribly long, but it is comparitively thick compared to that of the Magi. Designed to be water resistant on the outside, and thick and warm on the inside; acting as the perfect coat for the chilly alps.
Legends: Shamans and some tribal villages sometimes call the Tessas ('Great Tiger') the"Bringer of Thunder" or Beast of Fire. For the ground is said to shake upon the pounding the angered Tessas claws, bringing forth storms of lightning that spread fires across the jungle plains. In truth, Tessas are in fact known for being fire breathers.
