It was sort of difficult to describe one without the other, so I drew both of my superhero ideas that I had a while back but never put on paper. The quality is kind of sucky because I had to fiddle with image sizes to get the two pictures together since I drew them separately.

Description is a bit long, but if you skip to halfway through the background and the powers, you'll get the jist of it.

So here is the description:

Names:
Boy - Everett
Girl - Evelyn aka "Frost"

Setting: A place that is slightly in the future, yet seems more like the past such as having cobblestone roads and less advanced technology. People can be born with powers for no specific reason and it is being studied how this phenomenon occurs.

Background: Evelyn grew up in a very loving family who, even though they were slightly dismayed that she had ice powers, was determined to have her get them under control and be as normal as possible. (Most parents who had children with dangerous powers would abandon them since the infants have little control.)As a result, she can tend to act a bit entitled and has trouble taking things seriously.

However, there was a mandatory study on all people with superpowers when she was about 8 so she had to do some tests and they wanted to take samples and the like. She was pretty indignant about the way the other children were treated so she tried to make it difficult for the scientists at every turn.

When it came time to draw blood for a DNA sample, she froze over her skin so they weren't able to insert the needle. Only when they threatened to hurt the other kids did she relent by spitting in one of their faces. The eventually used this DNA and other combined DNA from other super powered people to create a weapon, aka Everett.

But the weapon they created didn't come out exactly as planned. Instead of the combined power of all those patients creating a person with strong, violent power, he ended up having x-ray vision. Even though the project was deemed a failure, the amount of resources put into it made it hard to just toss the boy out so they tried to teach him martial arts, since the x-ray vision would make it easy to attack vital points. He might have picked it up better if his teacher wasn't such a sadist.

Years later, Evelyn decides to use her powers to help other people with powers get on their feet and connect them to other people like them, when she hears the rumor that an artificial human with powers was created. She planned to sneak into the operation by posing as a scientist and sneak the person out, but when she realized her DNA had been used to create him, she lost control and destroyed the place. She took it upon herself to take care of him since she felt responsible for his creation and the suffering he went through as a result.

Powers: Evelyn can generate ice and is resistant to the cold that she creates. She tends create ice around her skin as an armor or form jagged "swords" on her arms for close combat. She likes to think of herself as a glacier and if paired up against a fast opponent, she likes to slow down the battle by creating a layer of ice on the ground. She tries to think things through but usually ends up rushing into things. Even though she has ice powers, she's a bit of a hot head.

Everett has x-ray vision. Despite his training from hell he is actually very good at martial arts, but he has no self-confidence in it because of his masters. He can also increase the diameter of his sight by "dislocating" his senses. Meaning he can temporarily rid himself of his hearing, smell, touch, or taste to make his x-ray sight stronger. If he turns off all his senses including his sight, he can see into people's minds. Basically he can read their thoughts. He specializes in information gathering since Evelyn took him under her wing.
