The first thing that came to mind when talking about "insecurities" was weight. It's something that's always been troubling. People are quick to judge those who are even a few pounds overweight as being lazy or having poor sense of control. I have to admit, I'm pretty insecure about such things, so I figured it would be easier to draw something that affects me to some degree. Also, this is not a picture of me, I'll get that out of the way right now.
Still, even though it seems to be an ideal to be incredibly tall and skinny, having a curvier body can be pretty as well. Besides being shapely, its healthier than starving yourself. Also, may cultures seem to take being a bit overweight as being attractive, since it translates to having money to afford food. Also, I guess its an indication of not suffering malnutrition. Which is a good thing.
Sorry if the pose seems contrived. I was going for having the arms out of the way so she seemed confident and not wanting to cover herself. Also, I was trying to convey curvy rather than obese since there's a point where it becomes unhealthy. Not being able to move due to weight is probably not the best...
