So later in the campaign, Nerevar the wizard made a friend of a dinosaur-type bird called a Quetzal and found a magic sword (+3 Vicious Longsword, to be precise). It wasn't long before the spellcaster got to put his new toy to use. When Nerevar swung the sword at his foe, all his childhood training (many Eladrin are instructed in the way of the longsword from a young age in reverence of Corellon, their creator god) came flooding back to him. His deft strike beheaded the enemy Dragonborn and a fountain of red blood coated the poor wizard. Nerevar then had a nervous breakdown as his noble upbringing had kept him from experiencing such brutal and visceral exchanges. The Quetzal then began picking entrails and licking the blood from Nerevar's hair, as depicted here.
The critical attack dealt 71 points of damage bringing the enemy's HP to -20. It was epic. And even more fun to role play his panic attack after he got covered in gore.
