Day 4 was Elricz's idea. (I forgot to mention that initially, so that's why I'm typing this a day after posting this.)
This is my first submission gone digital.
I'm really bad with digital art. Either it takes me years to complete something or it looks really amateurish. This happens to be the latter.
I would have done more with this picture had I not become frustrated. That's why there's no shading. I attempted a gradient on Jigglypuff, but it took me forever to figure it out. And it looked ugly once I did. So I just went back to flat colors.
I did this completely in Illustrator CS5. No scanned sketch or anything. I'm not going to even bother adding a "tools used" thing at the bottom, 'cause this was all I used.
I want to be as good a digital artist as I am a traditional one. But I also want to be efficient. I have two art programs on my computer that are radically different from one another. One I know how to use, but is very time-consuming. The other isn't nearly as time-consuming, but I barely know how to use it. So it's a trade-off. And I don't have enough internal motivation to master either. Yeah, I want to, but I don't know how to do it on my own.
Fell free to use this in a card or wallpaper, if you want. Which you likely won't. Just don't steal and claim it as your own.
