I think Sheik is a really admirable character, very much like Impa (all incarnations heh) When I unconsciously pick out my favorite characters it tends to lean towards those who possess traits that I lack.
In ocarina of time Sheik always knew the next step of the journey, seeing the correct order of things (clever gameprogramming but anyway)
