This is the most recent assignment I finished in my art class. We had to make a self portrait of ourselves using only pencil. This is actually 5 days before I turned it in, so it wasn't fully complete in this pic.

Pencils I used included the H pencil (hard graphite for lighter shades), the B pencil (softer than H and more darker), the 2B (darker than the B pencil), and the 6B (darkest pencil I own). Took me a while to do it, but it was fun.

The hardest part had to be the hair. I drew every strand, mainly by using gesture lines, and going over it with the 2B and 6B pencils.
