After multiple sittings across a few hours and some online tutorials, she's finally finished! Natsuko (Ethan's wife and Ken's mother) still pays attention to her roots, and actually runs a traditional Japanese temple on her property for her neighbourhood. She is also a kimono enthusiast, hence why she's all dressed up; she sells them at the temple and will supply the females of the cast with them every New Year's Day. Overall I'm happy with how she turned out, and I discovered a much faster way to do shades; simply make a layer under all the others, and use grays for everything. Saves a tonne of time by eliminating switching between layers and constantly mixing new colours. Manga Studio also has a pattern brush, which is how I did the flowers on her sleeves. Might of gotten carried away with the background lol.
