My self-portrait in oils! For the past couple months, I've been taking a portrait painting class, as I've been wanting to try to inject more realism into my style as well as try out oil paints. I figured this would be a good chance to kill two birds with one stone. This is my first result. ^^ I've never so much as touched oils before so it was interesting getting used to a totally new medium. I had fun and learned a lot, although I still have a long way to go. I'm planning to stick with it and have some ideas already, ambitious as they may be. OTL

Sorry for the terrible photo (bad camera, bad lighting). It's going into a show for the next couple months, though, so I just had to grab a picture at the end of class. Unfortunately it's still too wet to frame so I couldn't get a picture with at least the frame, but hopefully later.
