You are definitely not the only one out there who couldn't pass that test; does anyone else feel like the public school system is failing our youth? Do they still focus on just studying for what's on those state exams? Heck, I heard some places are getting rid of teaching cursive writing >_<

Yes,I agree, English is a easy langauge
and the grammar is pretty simple as to oppose to Japanese,
but still, I sometimes get a bit confused, at least I try.
Some people on the internet don't even try.
Same here. Because in real life if you're not sure about whether a sentence is correct you can just rework it to avoid whatever the problem was in the first place. Here you don't have any options but the ones they put in front of you. Don't feel too bad.
And I my worst enemy is your and you're. I know the difference yet somehow find all these places in my writing where I use it wrong XD

I usually pride myself on my good grammar but I am pretty sure I would fail one of these tests too!
