Yes, it happened to a few people I know of which is the stupidest thing ever. They didn't even search their houses, they just arrested them because...I dunno...
THAT'S TERRIBLE! TT^TT But what pisses me off is that like 5% of kids who do those kinds of things get sent to jail and everyone else does it. Everybody says something violent, why are just a few people getting arrested.
People go to jail for stupid things now a days.
For example, if a person jokingly says that they'll kill someone, they could get sent to jail.
I heard a story about a little boy going to jail because he made a poptart(?) look like a gun and said " Bang bang" to a teacher.
I mean, what the hell!?
Back in my day, kids could do that and not get in trouble.
Ugh, before long, people will go to jail for writing fictional stories about people dying, or something stupid like that.
Actually a close family member of mine almost went to jail for a joke he made about a school shooting. Innocent people are put in jail all the time. It really hurts me when I hear people trying to make a gap between those who went to jail and those who haven't as if the ones who aren't convicted of a felony are glorious people and the others who have are scum of the earth. It's wrong because there is no gap.
That kinda sounds like something Hitler would of said,
don't you think?
Also, how do they know that some people in prison aren't innocent? It has happened before, I've even seen a video about it.
Life isn't black and white. Loving everyone just makes you a better person. Hating other people makes you worse. Just because you don't hate somebody who does bad things doesn't mean you are also bad. I've thought the exact same way.
But most of the things people become criminals for is almost understandable. With murder even, it can be understandable.
I've heard a lot of people saying how criminals are evil, but I mean, you could one day have so much stress on you that you do something bad. Bad things happen for a reason not just because they are evil.
I think believing in evil is a terrible thing to do! >:[
It's a confusing subject, though...>3>
I for one feel pity for criminals. Somebody commented on an article of a murderer apologizing saying that he is a monster and deserves to die. And then somebody else replied that they should just take everyone in the prisons and kill them all because they are evil people.
I think people who think that way are worse than the people you actually do kill. I think those people would want sympathy if they ended up as criminals in the end, anyway.
Sorry long post, but I feel the same way as you do! ;3;

It's called being merciful :) We're all human beings, and we all are capable of doing horrible things (I pray we all don't do those horrible things in the first place, but some people have their own weaknesses), but in the end, it's not the person we should be hating. It's like that saying goes, "Love the sinner, hate the sin." Yes, what they did was horribly wrong--and we're certainly not excusing anyone of what they did--but we shouldn't hate people. If anything, we should pray for them because they've seriously put themselves in jeopardy should they choose to not repent! I've noticed that I've felt sorry for criminals, too. They've pretty much locked themselves in the mire of sin and likely don't know how to get out of it.
God doesn't hate His creations; He loves each and every one of us unconditionally, regardless of all the horrible things we do (granted, we still have to repent, but still...). So when other people can't understand why you can't hate criminals, that's just the place they're at.
So it's not that you're "too nice", it's that--I think--so many people are too caught up in this "death to the criminal" mentality to see that life is precious.
yeah, I find it stupid when people point the finger at dumb stuff like music, games and Tv for bad things that happen.
It happened because one person was not right, not because they watched Mortal Kombat and got drunk with power.
Yeah. It's like, some people think that if you feel pity for a murderer or something, they instantly think that you're like, saying that what they did was all right. No, of course I don't think killing people is all right! I mean, it's like when people blame violent video games for school shootings and stuff.
No, I've played violent video games and have watched horror movies for all my life, but I've never shot up a school or murdered someone. If violent video games cause people to go out and kill, then we would have A LOT more killers now a days, but no.

yeah, It's easy to forget that they are people if the crime is bad enough, but no one should forget that they are people.
It's also like people hear someone feels sorry for a bad PERSON and they think
"Oh my God! You don't see anything wrong with what they did!?!?!?"
And it's not like that at all...
That's how I see it anyway
Well, I think you're right. It's like, people sometimes forget that killers and other criminals are PEOPLE too, and they have feelings too.
I'm not saying that I don't feel sorry for the victims as well. In fact, I just don't hate anyone really.

There is nothing wrong with sympathy or empathy for a human being. Even if said human being is a killer or even just unpleasant.
Feeling sorry for another human being does not equal seeing nothing wrong with their actions.
That is just my opinion though.
