There's no need to go changing your style unless you absolutely want to :) Your style is what makes your work unique, and really, you as the artist have the final say over how something looks.
I like the dot eye style you have now! XD Actually, I like that style in general just because I never look at eyes enough to care how sparkly they are...XD
