Yeesh. You could only hope he wouldn't say that in person; and if he would, sounds like somebody needs to be locked up for a bit to cool down ._. Sorry you had to go through that.
But you're right, you never know where people are coming from. Maybe somebody did the same to him? Or maybe he didn't get any love growing up? I dunno, just a thought. This--as well as what you mentioned--has got to be the reason why some people are the way they are. Still doesn't excuse his extreme rudeness, and it certainly doesn't excuse anyone's infantile behavior and speech.
Living counterculturally can be difficult, but it's good to know we're not the only ones doing what we're doing :)
I recently just had a run in with a very angry person, and to make it worse, I have no doubt in mind that he was an adult (I'm assuming he's male.) This guy said that I was a weirdo, loser, pompus, self-center, and he also called me the C-word.
I didn't even do anything to him, but you know, I just think he's either bored, has anger issues, or just tries to put others down to make himself feel better, perhaps it's all of those things in one.
Yep... and I find it interesting that on other sites, especially with people like trollers, flamers, etc., it's almost like, "Guys, you seriously don't have anything better to do than this?" It's like they have no life, so they spend it on the internet making other people's lives miserable 9_9 Meanwhile, the majority of the decent folks (I say majority because there are some genuinely nice people online ^_^) aren't online because they're doing other things. Maybe this is why it seems like there are so many angry/hurtful people out there, because they're mostly gathering online where we are? Just something I've thought about.
Goodness knows I regularly read this one very conservative, family and traditional value-oriented news site, and there's a bunch of people who come on their to basically contradict what was in the article... as if anything they said will suddenly convert the deep-seated beliefs of those who agree with the website's views. There's this one guy in particular who keeps getting banned and keeps coming back (under various but similar usernames), despite the fact that he should know by now that the website isn't going to change its policies, viewpoints, etc. just for him, or just because he's posting there. It's like, "Really, dude, don't you have anything better to do?"

These days people (kids) fall in love too early. I have examples in my town, that are 4th grade of elementary school
And I find them un-normal, they just don't have childhood, like it's supposed to be. They're influenced by TV and reality shows, and their parents need to pay more attention on them.
But also it think that person should fall in love by some point in his/her life, no too early, not too late, it is just naturally.
Being on the internet for years now has exposed me to many different kinds of people, some are great, and others...well,yeah.
I've discovered that some people really have no morals today.

Pff, what does society know? I'm 24, single, never dated (so no first kiss yet), and aside from the fact that I feel obligated to either get a better job or get married soon, I'm pretty happy right now. Granted, I'd like to get married and raise a family some day, but I just don't know if I've met a guy yet that I'd want to do that with.
So yeah, totally nothing wrong or inhuman with being single and celibate/abstinent. In fact, it's quite the opposite; the self-discipline and control over one's passions are part of what separates us from the animals. Just giving in to every impulse and desire is not only very much based in id, but also very animalistic. And there goes our human dignity ._.
Oddly enough, I was actually just thinking about this earlier, how it's possible to live a fulfilling life counter-culturally, by choosing to abstain from sex. Funny how that worked out, huh? :D
Quite frankly, it sickens me how modern society has taken something as beautiful and sacred as sex (completely giving yourself to the other person, and in so doing, there's the possibility of the creation of a brand new life! Or lives in the case of twins or more :D) and cheapened it into something disposable and out-in-the-open.
Not to mention, with the fact that about 1/3 of the US population is currently infected with venereal disease, celibacy/abstinence or monogamy are the best ways to go o_o
Sorry about the long speech; this is just one of those topics I had a definite standpoint on XD
Yes, I'm sure some celibate people have changed their minds, but I don't I will. If you want to know the truth, I'm celibate due to a few reasons, mainly due to health issues, and emotional reasons.
But then...eventually you change your mind on celibacy...Most of those kinds of people probably do it for religious reasons or other reasons (like disease or something)...
This is why it pissed me off when I read articles of how cray and terrible Japan was for having 'herbivore males' who would rather focus on their careers and improving themselves than have relationships. It's not a problem what-so ever.
If you don't want to kiss somebody you don't have to. If it's your choice people shouldn't feel bad for you.
Although I personally thing we are both too young to call ourselves celibate...XD

Why can't people just be nice?

@Wakusei Aoshi:
I don't think there is an age limit to celibacy,
I went to this one website about it, and there were people as young as 20 being celibates.
