You're right, the artist could just deny the commission, but if they really needed the money, they probably couldn't. *Shrugs*
I also doubt that anyone would want to meet a serial killer in real life, obviously. Although, they probably would send letters, unless of course, the serial killer is dead.
Yes, I agree. It takes some sort of bravery, or perhaps a bit of ignorance because they don't expect backlash sometimes.
For those who commission it, though, it's a bit of a shame. They could just deny it...O.o;
I think the ones where they draw themselves with the serial killers is the most creepy. The thing is that they don't actually like them for being serial killers, but it's just like liking a vampire or a zombie or something. Liking them doesn't mean they truly want to meet them, but they think they are cool enough to obsess over them.
Well, I suppose that everyone desires to draw different things, and has different interests. Also, a few artists who have drawn serials have stated that they aren't trying to glorify them, or that they even liked them. In fact, I think some of them were commissions, so it wasn't like they had a choice.
However, then again, I've seen a few...questionable drawings. I'm not going to say any names, but I've seen people draw themselves together with certain serial killers, and even I found that creepy.
Although, I admit, they are brave to post that kind of stuff, and I wish I had that same bravery, not that I would ever draw that kind of stuff. :
Sarcasm doesn't work on the internet. That's when you have to really really check what you say...but sometimes if you mention certain topics, people won't even read what you're saying but get mad at you and think you're in the wrong only because they assume you are by the topic. That often happens.
Although, on this issue...I agree people can draw whatever they like, but I think it's a tad bit wrong to draw serial killers like that mainly because it seems a bit like glorifying them...I just find it a bit odd and creepy and unnecessary, but if that's what they wanna do, they can do that.
Ugh, there have been times where I've been sarcastic, but yet people online took me seriously, and vice versa. I dunno, I guess you can't really tell a person's tone of voice by reading text. *Shrugs*

I had someone mistake what I said about their avatar, and I ended up getting two downvotes on my comment when I was being sincere (guess I should've been Capt. Obvious instead of apparently too subtle). I guess they thought it was sarcasm and that I didn't know Deadpool was a Marvel character. I'm a geek; I totally know who he is. I don't read his comics, but he's in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for a reason. So yeah, totally not DC.
Sorry about the rant; it's a little thing, but it still kind of bugged me. Apparently, "Goodness knows that's certainly not a DC avatar you're sporting :)" can be easily misinterpreted on the internet :/
So yeah, I can relate to the "words turned around on you" thing.
