Oh wow! That's slightly entertaining & creepy at the same time! o.0
At least yer brother was in the area though, and other people in classrooms. Man why do girls gotta go through this kinda crud?
Exactly! That's why I'm glad to be around my brother in public sometimes; he and I look so dissimilar that people have actually mistaken us for a couple (despite the fact that they don't see us doing couple-ish things, like kissing, hugging, holding hands, etc. They just see us together and assume we're an item XD As if it's an impossibility for a girl to have friends who are guys, too)
But I'd have to say the worst incident was when I was waiting for my brother's college class to finish (I think this was earlier this year), so I was sitting in the hallway, just playing my 3DS (yeah, it was earlier this year; I was playing the new Fire Emblem game). Out of the corner of my eye, I can see somebody just walking by (this area of the building is T-shaped, and I'm sitting in the stem of the T, with the guy walking through the top cross bar), and suddenly I hear "And how are we on this fine day?" I look up and realize the guy (who is what you might consider a stereotypical otaku to look like ._.) heading right toward me o_o I'm like, "I'm... fine." He's all "Good." THEN, he does this little waving flourish with his hand, bows, and says "I'm (name withheld)," almost like he was some knight or noble introducing himself to a princess >_< Only response from me was a sheepish "And I'm waiting for someone," I said while pointing toward my brother's class, as I'm terrified out of my gourd. He's like "Let's try this again." AGAIN with the bow and flourish, and he repeats his introduction. Reluctantly, I gave him my nickname (I wasn't gonna give him my real name!). He was like "Ah, nice," or something to that effect. After some more prolonged silence, he says "And with that, I shall take my leave." He then walks off down the hallway, to where I'm guessing was his original destination.
And then I told my brother about it afterward and he laughed. I'll admit, in hindsight, it's rather amusing, and it's at least a little admirable that the guy had the guts to talk to me and in such an odd fashion as that (then again, the hallways were pretty dead at the time and we were the only two there at the moment... though the nearby classroom door was open), but there's no way I would've been interested in him.
Also, he was wearing a Japanese shirt and I would've tried to read it (to myself of course; I didn't want to add fuel to his fire of interest!) had I not been terrified out of my wits.
So yeah, sorry about the long reply, but I felt like sharing for some reason.

I hear ya! I've had a handful of guys I didn't even want to attract try to ask me out or flirt with me... and at least once it was frightening o_o Then again, every one of those situations was uncomfortable.
