Yeah... sometimes people can be brutal like that... I especially hate it when the person that complains about my hand writing is actually the person that has the worst .... :P

Heh, I usually write in print, too. I mean, cursive's great and all, and I'm of the mind that they should still teach it in school, but goodness knows, sometimes, depending on the person, it can be tough to read. I should know; I work as a secretary and sometimes there's data entry... and sometimes it's from poor cursive writing -_-;
But yeah, print shouldn't be called "childish"... they usually say to use print on forms, don't they? :)

My mom told me that she had to teach me outside of school because they were no longer teaching it and she felt it was important in some way to at least know about it. I fail very hard at writing in cursive. Actually, most of the letters in my writing are of my own creation...perhaps that is why nobody can read them...>3>
To be honest, I don't remember learning how to write in cursive, it was just print letters, sooo, it's not like it's my fault that I didn't ever learn, that's just what I grew up with. Not that I have a problem with that.
Well...I do not get this problem. For me it is more 'I can't read this' than it ever looks childish... But I think this may come from old education where children were forced to write in cursive. Now schools aren't forcing kids to learn it, some don't even learn it at all, and so print has become a childish thing because all the adults who were forced to learn it back then are the ones writing in cursive.
I don't think there has been a time when I couldn't read a person's handwriting, no matter how "childish" it looked. Although, many people have trouble reading mine. It's not because it's super messy; my handwriting is actually quite pretty and it looks like I have written in Arabic. In other words, I have my own font, but so many people always have to ask me what is one of the words written xD;
I don't think there is such a handwriting that is "childish", though. That is quite rude to say.
