Raito and Light are the same, except in japanese, L and R have the same sound, so Raito could also be spelled Laito using english phonics. But the mangaka's meant it to be 'Light'. For proof, when Misa finds out Lights real name, she says 'but its pronounced as the word 'Light' in english. How cool..." or something like that xD
