Gosh, thank you!! I'm sure if I can figure it out, you can, too!! I studied published manga - once I got over being caught up with the story, I began to study the technique. Look for how panels...or even lack of panels...are used. Panels, like tone and shading, can be used to create a mood. Since manga artists represent their finished product visually, one can't simply write, "the man got angrier while Ren remained calm." Action scenes are represented by odd-shaped panels to create a sense of movement. And the amount of panels used on one page can be used to speed up or slow down a story. Four panels read quicker than nine. A friend of mine actually equated it to film-making...trying to figure out how each scene should look.
I must confess, I am self taught in all of this, so I went through a lot of trial and error until I finally figured it all out. And never, ever give up!
Ah...forgot to mention...there is a slight nod to Crytals on the first page....look at the background people. I know the timing is different...but I couldn't resist.
S'funny, after I posted this I thought, gee, I should have mentioned it read traditional Japanese style. Glad you got it..sorry for the confusion! And...thanks!!

Thanks. I actually did not like the way it was originally done...the result you see now is a re-draw.

Thanks! I've always been partial to this scene! Maybe because of the unique way it was done.

I'm a bit confused in which way I read it...Left-Right or Right-Left?
Good manga though.
