I like how you are telling the story from the Rocket side. My pokemon OC is not very kind to Rockets.
It would be so totally awesome if a pokemon game came out in an Infamous/Fable style of character development: you start as a kid but as you go along you could be good or bad!

He's such a sweet boy. Even though he's a rocket, he shouldn't be discriminanted against and automatically put under being the 'bad' guy.
I would just love to give him a hug...
So what are the rules when the poke likes the other trainer better than the one that owns them? I was never serious about learning the rules of ownership- I joked I'd would have traded Pikachu to James for Jesse.
well you should pick a simple character. one that you dont mind having to draw over and over again. you'll notice my main characters always seem to where simple clothes and have the same hair style. thats cause i can draw it repedatively and i dont get annoyed. i know really intricate characters are fun but the thing i've noticed about anime and manga is the main character should be simple. you can have a kick ass detailed secondary character but the main C should be someone you can relate to and its easy to imagen yourself as. but go too simple and they become 2D and boring. They need flaws and personality. sorry i'm rambling. just choose a simple design for a character. you'll notice my rocket main Character is amazingly simple... just do an easy and cute outfit and simple but unique hair (if you want). the key is simplisity

i luvs growlithe and ekans! i always had them on my team in pokemon.I'm loving this so far,i've always liked team rocket's uniforms.You draw the pokemon so well,they're cute in their chibi ish forms!

Love the main character. Poor thing feels all awkward, but they were just being a good trainer helping the pokemon.
