We've been kicking around the idea of doing an all Mel comic for a long time..we just haven't really sat down and talked about an actual plot... though we were thinking of calling it Ghost In the Mel: Stand Alone Comic..though it would not be a Ghost in the Shell parody.

The best part was seeing Kakashi-sensei hung up like a real scarecrow. You know we've all wanted to see it XD

We both sit down and plot out the panel layout and writing for each chapter- most of the dialogue is actually routines we've done for years while playing the game. Then Yoshimi blocks out the panels on computer paper with a ruler and we each do the art - Haruka has a few more characters to draw because Yoshimi does all the scanning, inking, toning, and background.

For example, Haruka draws Pit Boss and Yoshimi draws Sally - so Haruka will get Pit Boss in the panels on a page then pass the page to Yoshimi who will put in Sally. In the pencil draft, there is no background as Yoshimi does it all on the computer. It works out to be a 50/50 split on the work. Haruka also draws Sheik, Malon, Zelda, and Yoshimi draws Ganon, Mel, and Impa-Tron. We each draw the Great Fairies, Navi, and the bosses.

LOL! Thanks! We aren't really sure why we decided to make Saria crazy, we really don't have anything against her....but it just kinda worked out that way! Glad you are enjoying it! We will finish out the game, and we do plan on doing Majora's Mask and Windwaker, as well as Twilight Princess. Pit Boss isn't exactly hero material, but lots of people seem to really like him.

He's a fun guy!

No! I don't think it ruins it at all. Except for the spoilers. I started to read further than I had actually gotten in-game and had to stop before I found out more than I wanted to know. xD

Some of the comments are funnier because I've made them too. The captain obvious comment towards Navi explaining vines was almost exactly what went through my head at that part, lol.

The timing of finding this is perfect. I finally got ahold of Ocarina of Time this year for Christmas. I know I'm REALLY late, but at least I've got it! Now as I go through this I have everything fresh in my memory. It makes it that much funnier.

Thanks to everyone who has favored this, and enjoyed this wild ride into Zelda! We've had a lot of fun writing and drawing this, and we will finish it...we even have the sequel, Majora's Mask, planned out. Originally, MM was just going to be a few shorts...but then we figured out how to get him out of the Kokiri.....

We are totally random when it comes to chapter covers - and the pictures don't always have anything to do with the chapter title or the chapter content...so it can be anything you want to do. A scene from an anime, movie, manga...it doesn't even have to be Pit Boss and Sally - you could do Saria and Zelda, or all four, or whatever you want to do!
