This is a true story.
I got my X and Y versions, so I started Y hyped up on getting a Fennekin and going to name him Armin (Armin deserves more love, the anime seems to forget he's a main character too sometimes), but then it turned out to be female.
I was upset about this, I really wanted a Fennekin named Armin, but I said "Ahhh screw it!" and named her Haruka.
Over time, I grew really attached to her, and she became wayyyy Over-leveled (being level 72 when I caught Yveltal who was level 50) and I'm just so proud of my baby, male or not, I love this loser.
P.s. I named the Yveltal Derf XD
