For day 22 we have.. an original Original Character. His name is Lyman and with his twin sister Alanis (featured tomorrow) he's Leucer and Zamboni's younger siblings. These character actually existed in the back of my head for about 3-4 years and I wasn't sure that I wanted them to become canon. Itìs just happened to me to hatch a shiny Ghastly and I thought it would be cool to have another pair of twins in the family.

It feel weird knowing that some classic characters have siblings all the sudden. Yet it makes so much sense. Zamboni Sr and Maledit always regretted being able to raise their children themselves because of work, so when they had new kids they decided to try to be better parens and keep them close to them. this doesn't mean they don't love their firstborns of course, but they're adults and they have their life. Also even if they're all siblings I feel the two couple of twins don't pay too much attention to each other.
So even if they are all family, and love eachother dearly, they're still two different groups, with Leucer, Zamboni and Nocturne on one side, and Maledit, Zamboni, Lyman and Alanis on the other.

Design wise, all Gengar line of evolution are so difficult to humanize, mostly because they are literally purple blobs with no big feature to use, so it was a challenge. I think it looks like a Haunter, somewhat. Also blue tongue, because that's the only difference between normal and shiny Haunter. (gengar's line shiny versions SUCKS)
