Layla usually throws 8 small bombs, 2% each, but she sometimes throws out 4 large ones, each one 4% damage. After the bombs damage the enemy(or in this case, enemIES), they'll send out a bunch of smoke, THEN Layla targets the nearest enemy and attacks them with her lance(if they're somewhere around the edge of the stage, there's a very good chance the lance will push them off)
