The chapter ended! Just saying!
Azriel has been formally introduced but will we ever know why he's following Amelia? Maybe we'll find out in the next chapter.
I guess he doesn't like being called "Grim Reaper"... "Azriel" is a variant spelling of the more popular "Azrael" not to be confused with Israel. He's also known as Samael (I think this is the Jewish name) and Thanatos (I think this one is Greek?) but I wanted to aim for a more biblical title. His name, however, never appears in the bible and is often referred to as the "Destroyer" or "angel of death". Despite this, in Christianity (and Islam I believe) its not uncommon for him to be acknowledged as Azrael. He didn't really take on the classic appearance of the Grim Reaper until the middle ages. In Mexico Death is seen as a female (apparently skeletons have genders) called Santa Muerte (or something like that) but the Catholic church sees this as a cult following and doesn't acknowledge Santa Muerte.
Don't take my word for it though, I just summarized what I learned on the internet, lol!
Tell me what you think so far!
