I'm glad so many of you are finding it helpful!
Feel free to ask questions on anything you don't understand or that I might have just glazed past. This is a basic over view, so I can always go into a lot more depth.
We were all n00bs once, and there is a certian magic about your first convention that you never get back. But its also good to have some idea what to expect, so you aren't completly overwhelmed.
Thank you so much for this! I'm planning on going to my first con in May. A friend of mine invited me to go with her. Unfortunately, she's gonna be a noob too so we were just planning to wing it once we got there. This should help a lot, I'll definitely have to make her read this.
I went to my first convention this past november. i could only go for one day but i still had oads of fun! fortunately for me i went with friends who are veterans and it was a fairly small con. anybody here ever heard of Bakuretsucon? it was in Vermont, colchester to be exact... anyway this is great and i would definately follow this sound advice if i was going alone to a con for the first time. or when i go to a reeeeeeeealy big con... lotsa hugs for you!!
